How to Set up India Billing on Zoko

Learn how to set up INR billing to start using your Zoko account.

To start using Zoko and chatting with your customers, you'll need to set up two separate billing accounts:

  1. Meta Billing: This account covers charges related to WhatsApp conversations. (Refer to our article on How to Set up WhatsApp API Payment)
  2. Zoko Billing: This account manages subscription fees for accessing Zoko’s services. (Details are explained here)

To set-up billing:

1. Go to Settings.

2. Click on Setup Billing.

3. You have to choose between a monthly or yearly Zoko subscription plan based on your needs. In our case, we selected the Monthly Elite plan.

4. Click on Confirm.

5. Fill in all the required details in the Invoice information.

6. Click on Continue to review.

7. Next, you'll need to specify important notification details, such as account blocking or deletion. These notifications will be sent to the email and phone numbers you provide and then click on Continue. For example, you can set notifications for when your credits fall below Rs 2000 and specify an email address like piyush@zoko.io and a WhatsApp number like 918130521561.

8. As you can see, the system-generated amount is displayed here (It is calculated based on the pro-rated fee for the remaining days of the current month + the full amount for the next month) For example, if you're halfway through the current month, you'll only be charged for the days left, along with the full charge for the upcoming month. If you need to make changes, just click on the amount field and enter the desired amount.

9. Click on Next.

10. Choose your preferred payment method, whether it's scanning a QR code from your payment app, using UPI, Credit/Debit card, or Netbanking and click on Pay xxxxx.

That's it! Once your payment is successful, you can start using the service. You can also view the invoice history by scrolling down the billing page.
