About Zavatty
Established in the streets of downtown Medellin more than 30 years ago, footwear brand Zavatty was founded by Rafael Gómez and Marina Ortiz. The husband-and-wife team’s quest for financial independence led them to manufacture and launch their own brand: Zavatty.
Zavatty has grown a lot since then. The brand manages 10 physical stores in the metropolitan area, as well as an online store catering to international sales. The business’ legacy is continued by the founders’ children: Paula, Rafael and Manuela Gómez.
The problem with getting reviews
Achieving sales success with online stores relies on securing the customer reviews needed to boost your online presence, and credibility, too.
Studies demonstrate a relationship between the number of reviews you have and the number of conversions you achieve. For example, while a single review can boost conversions by 10 percent, 100 reviews can see that conversion rate rise to 37 percent and 200 reviews can achieve as much as a 44% increase.
While Zavatty recognised the ability of reviews to boost sales, their methods of getting reviews were not yielding the desired results. Email open rates were low and even those who opened email had to connect to the product page before being able to rate and review. Worse still, each extra page jump reduced the likelihood of customers completing the review process.
How Zoko helped
Since Zavatty started using Zoko and enabled its review flow, the company hasn’t looked back.
Unopened emails are a thing of the past, thanks to Review Flow’s ability to automate the whole process via WhatsApp. Now, as soon as an order is delivered, review flow automatically messages customers.
As well as asking them to rate products on a scale of one-to-five, the customer is also invited to give a review, too. Importantly, Zoko allows all of this to be done conveniently within WhatsApp - without any need for customers to leave the platform.
Once completed, ratings and reviews are available for viewing within the analytics page of the review flow. To add this to their website, all that Zavatty needs to do is to simply select the best reviews and export the data and upload it to Shopify in just a few clicks.
This new way of working did more than save time and money for Zavatty; it helped them receive reviews from more than 50% of their customers.
Why brands should collect reviews on WhatsApp
With more than two billion users, WhatsApp is one of the most popular messaging platforms… and for good reasons.
It’s familiar and easy to use, particularly compared to traditional emails. Typing is more intuitive, efficient and easier - increasing the likelihood of customers leaving reviews.
Offering high open rates (95%), working via WhatsApp avoids the need for the use of external links - eliminating the chance of customer dropoff.
